Lawrence T. White earned a Ph.D. in social psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He was a Professor of Psychology at Beloit College in Wisconsin between 1984 and 2019. In the past 35 years, Professor White has consulted or more than 300 criminal cases. He works with attorneys and testifies as an expert witness on eyewitness identification and the psychology of interrogation and confession. Professor White was a visiting professor at the University of Tartu (Estonia) in 1997 and 2015. He has directed study abroad programs in Australia, Estonia, and Morocco. His innovative textbook CULTURE CONSCIOUS: BRIEFINGS ON CULTURE, COGNITION, AND BEHAVIOR was published by John Wiley and Sons in 2021.
